NOTE: If you do not already have XRS 4.00 or later, you will need to have
one certain files ("XRS$ALL.DTA" and "XRS$CORE.RTL") before you can use
XRUSERED.EXE - it requires those exact same files, so I didn't include the
files twice. You can pickup *all* required files for XRS 4.00 in one file
named X400ALL.ZIP from my BBS 1:372/666 (HST), 1:372/888 (Hayes V9600
V.32/V.42bis), 1:360/1 Ed Meloan (HST, North Augusta, SC) or 109/124 Miles
Hoover (HST, Washington, DC area), as well as Peter Janssens' "EasyBoard"
at 2:512/1 (Venray, The Netherlands).
These files are not required for the basic Ra/Qm/SeX program - only with
the "XRUserEd" program.
Filenames for XRS 4.00 are:
XRS4CORE.ZIP *Required* files for either version!
XRS400XT.ZIP "Generic" RESP*.EXE files only
XRS400AT.ZIP "'286" (and V20/30) RESP*.EXE files only
XRS4KIT1.ZIP Toolkit files that have not changed since previous version
XRS4KIT2.ZIP New Toolkit files and programs that have been updated
The first three are available in one file named "XRS4ALL.ZIP" and the last
two as one named "XRS4KITS.ZIP". Also "XRS4FNLS.ZIP" is a file which is
useful only to foreign native language support translators, so it is
available separately.
IF YOU USE MORE THAN ONE OF THE RESPONSE.EXE, XRUSERED.EXE, or XRED.EXE
PROGRAMS, PLACE XRS$ALL.DTA, and XRS$CORE.RTL ALL IN ONE PLACE ONLY -
SOMEWHERE ON YOUR "PATH". BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE IS ACHIEVED IF THESE
FILES ARE ON A RAM_DISK...
In general, if you are not already familiar with RAX/QMX, you should read
RAQMX140.DOC, and then read _NEW_IN_.140 to see what has been updated since
the 1.3x releases.
